HYPERLANES: Cinematic SciFi for DnD 5e

Stelliform Comic UNLOCKED!
almost 10 years ago – Sat, Dec 24, 2016 at 01:06:54 PM

We've just hit our $22,500 stretch goal, unlocking a comic set within our Stelliform campaign setting, illustrated by our own Avery Liell-Kok. A PDF copy will be sent out to all of you pledging at the Purely Digital Being level and higher. We're looking into printing options right now.

We're super excited about this one. For us the fun of putting something like HYPERLANES together is more than just constructing playable game mechanics. We love pouring our creativity into the artwork, the adventures, the little details. We've always enjoyed it when RPGs come with all kinds of additional goodies to bring the worlds to life. We're happy to carry on that tradition.

At this point we've run through our existing list of stretch goals. We'll have more for you soon, so keep watching!

Stelliform Campaign Setting UNLOCKED!
almost 10 years ago – Fri, Dec 23, 2016 at 10:49:47 PM

Looks like we've hit the $20,000 stretch goal, which unlocks our own campaign setting: Stelliform, designed specifically for the HYPERLANES rules. Lots of you have been asking if we were going to do this and we're certainly going to keep a bit of space in the corebook for example settings. But this one's going to be nice and lavishly detailed, with its own starting adventure.

So what is the Stelliform setting? Well, we're still working out the details. We honestly had no clue this Kickstarter was going to do this well. Our underlying goal will be to evoke the familiar conventions of starfaring drama, but with our own twist. We'll try to get some more hammered out details later next week.

Next up in terms of stretch goals: The Stelliform Comic! A comic illustrated by our own Avery Liell-Kok and set within the Stelliform campaign setting.

Unfolding Starscapes UNLOCKED!
almost 10 years ago – Fri, Dec 23, 2016 at 08:49:46 PM

This one's a biggie for us. We've just hit the $17,500 funding level unlocking the Unfolding Starscapes book. It's a look at just how to blend your existing fantasy content with the sci-fi that HYPERLANES brings to the table. While the core book will supply you with the basics for adapting D&D classes into mystical knights and such, this supplement will get a bit more into the details of such an endeavor, helping you craft new and amazing settings.

As usual, this one comes as a PDF with your pledge if you're at the Purely Digital Being level or higher, but it will be available in softcover as an add-on as well.

Next stretch goal: Stelliform, our own campaign setting.

New Classy Noble Pledge Level
almost 10 years ago – Fri, Dec 23, 2016 at 01:33:58 PM

We've just added a new pledge level for those of you who want it all. The 'Classy Noble' get's pretty much all the goodies, including the hardcover of the core book and the softcover of the player's guide. You also get softcovers of all books unlocked by our stretch goals.

You pay no shipping (you're beyond such petty details).

The cherry on top is you send us a picture of you, a loved one, or a friend and we'll turn it into a HYPERLANES signature character for the Classes and Archetypes section of the core book. Our illustrator Avery Liell-Kok will work with you on the details. We've done this before in our last Kickstarter and they turned out to be some of the most interesting portrait illustrations we made!

Only 6 of this pledge level are available, so snatch them up quick!

The Tannhäuser Gate is Opened!
almost 10 years ago – Fri, Dec 23, 2016 at 10:39:37 AM

We've just hit our $15,000 stretch goal! That's 3 times our original funding goal. Thanks everyone!

This goal unlocks 'The Tannhäuser Gate', an adventure for more advanced characters in HYPERLANES. It'll be included for all backers at the Purely Digital Being level or higher, and available as an add-on via BackerKit.

Next up is 'Unfolding Starscapes', a guide to blending your fantasy with your science fiction.
