Finalizing Addresses

Hey guys, we're getting ready to send out hardcopies of the corebook and the gambit decks, so we're asking those of you getting physical rewards to finalize your addresses on BackerKit for us in the next 48 hours. You should be getting emails from BackerKit now with info on how to do that (sorry, I don't think I have a link for it). I may have hit the button for people to do that a few weeks ago, so most of you are probably good to go, but we'd rather send you a couple extra emails than send your stuff to the wrong address.

We've received proofs for the corebook, as well as many decks and they all look pretty good. Just a few adjustments here and there and we should be good to go!

Digital Gambit Deck, Updated Corebook, and a bit on the release schedule

Hey everyone. Hope all you backers are enjoying the digital version of the corebook at this point. We're getting lots of questions and it sounds like quite a few of you are already embroiled in HYPLERLANES campaigns. That's awesome!

Just wanted to make sure you noticed, we just sent out links to the digital version of the Gambit Deck. We're still waiting for all 5 of the different gambit decks to come back from the printers, but we thought you'd all enjoy the digital version as a sneak peek, and a way of printing and playing if you didn't pick one up.

We also put up an updated version of the HYPERLANES corebook tonight. The main thing is just an embarrassing fix to the Pilot table, which had some of the gambit slot numbers wrong, but there are a few typos fixed as well.

We're in the middle of finishing up quite a few of your rewards right now, which is why we've been a little slower to respond to email and I (Ryan) haven't been as conversant on the Discord server. We were hoping to get the Corebook hardcopy out to you all by the end of the month, but we had a bit of a snag with the printer files, so it might not go out until a little bit into next month. We'll keep you posted. We definitely want to get that reward perfect.

P.S. We know for most of you HYPERLANES is fresh and new, but for us it's been almost a year of work and we're already looking forward to the next big thing we do. As we finalize most of these backer rewards we're also gearing up for our next Kickstarter to launch. We hope to see you all there! We'll have details on that soon.

Digital HYPERLANES Updates

Patch notes for the most recent update to the HYPERLANES pdf 

Today we updated the PDF copy of the book, based on all your feedback. Most of these are basically little, but important things that fell through the cracks when we put the book together.

• Fixed a few typos and formatting issues (Catsuit entry in the armor table a little off, a bolded word here or there, etc.). 
• Cleaned up the language surrounding Genius procedures a bit and made sure to add the specific number of gambits a Genius can memorize (Int modifier + Genius level). Made it clear that the Genius has access to all gambits. 
• Added some light armors to the possible starting equipment for Outlaws. 
• Made the Muscle Duelist starting ability (Elegant Weapon) a little better, so that they can disarm as a bonus action. 
• Added light armor proficiency to Pilots, to beef them up a little, and gave them flightsuits (a light armor) as starting equipment. 
• Made a note with a suggestion that energy swords might be 100 cr in settings where they are more common. Gave energy swords the finesse property. 
• Added vehicle weapons for all classes either as a standard proficiency or as an option instead of noble swords. 
• Fixed the Hack Weapon trick so that it requires a save, and can no longer take over the Death Star. 
• Added a Medpack (healing potion) to the gear section of the equipment chapter. 
• Upped the damage on machineguns to 1d6, from 1d4. 
• Fixed the Outlaw sneak attack feature to reflect the full text from the OGL SRD. We had left out a bit. 

Not fixed: There’s a problem in the PDF’s bookmarks where all the military vehicles are in the land vehicles subsection. We’re weirdly having a hard time fixing the problem without totally redoing a bunch of work, so we’re kicking the can down the road a bit since it won’t have an impact on the print copy (which we're focused on at the moment). 

Special thanks to all of you guys who’ve been sending in and posting questions, edits, and feedback. If I haven’t responded to you directly (we get a lot of feedback from a lot of different sources so it’s hard to keep up with responses) just know that I do see them all and make note of them for these kinds of patches to the book. 

Soon we’ll be sending away for our hardcopy proofs, basing it on this version, so the hardcopy of the book is not far off for all of you who backed at that level. That also means we’ll soon have it up on DriveThruRPG for the public at large.

PS: I should have more updates soon on how we're coming with the PDF polishing. Keeping busy working on the decks and adventures as well. If you've emailed us, I should get back to you by tonight. I'll try to answer those questions that are up on the comments here as well.
